"I recently had the chance to explore Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean's newest ship, and it's already generating plenty of interest. Having spent time onboard, I can see why. The ship combines many of the features Royal Caribbean is known for with some impressive new spaces, stylish yet comfortable accommodation, great dining venues and attractions. I sailed onboard a special preview sailing from Spain to Italy, before she set off on her first official voyage from Rome a few days later.

A Modern Cruise Designed for Every Traveller
One of my first impressions was how bright and open the ship feels. Despite its size, the public areas are laid out well and it's easy to find your way around. Royal Caribbean has clearly designed Legend of the Seas with a wide range of travellers in mind. Families will love the activities and entertainment, while couples and groups will find plenty of quieter spaces to relax and enjoy the ship at their own pace. Whether you want a busy day packed with activities, or simply a comfortable spot to sit and watch the ocean- you'll have plenty of options.

Stylish Accommodation
The guest quarters feel modern, comfortable and well thought-out. I had the opportunity to view a selection of cabin categories, from interior cabins through to suites, and there's something to suit a range of budgets and travel styles. The storage is practical, and the cabins are well furnished.
The balcony cabins stood out in particular, offering a private outdoor space that's perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset. The suites provide extra room, premium service and added perks for those looking to make their cruise even more special.

Dining That Impresses
Dining is always a big part of any cruise holiday, and Legend of the Seas offers plenty of choice. What I liked most was the variety on offer. Guests can enjoy great complimentary dining venues throughout the ship, and the speciality restaurants provide additional options for those celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to try something different. If you're in the mood for a relaxed breakfast, a quick lunch between activities, or a longer evening meal- there are plenty of venues to choose from.

Entertainment and Activities
Entertainment has long been one of Royal Caribbean's strengths and Legend of the Seas continues that tradition. During my visit, it was easy to see how much thought has gone into creating spaces where guests can have fun throughout the day and into the evening. From live performances (inculding the fantastic Broadway-style Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical!) and family entertainment to pools, wellness facilities and signature attractions, there's always something happening onboard. For many guests, the ship itself will be as much a highlight as the destinations it visits.

Outstanding Service
One thing I consistently hear from my clients who travel with Royal Caribbean is how much they value the service onboard, and that's something I expect Legend of the Seas will continue to deliver. The crew members I met were friendly and welcoming, and clearly proud of the ship. It's often the little things that make a difference on a cruise holiday, and good service plays a big part in creating a positive onboard experience.

Who Should Cruise on Legend of the Seas?
In my view, Legend of the Seas will appeal to a wide range of travellers, including:
- Families looking for plenty of activities and entertainment
- Couples celebrating a special occasion
- Multigenerational family groups
- First-time cruisers considering a larger ship
- Returning Royal Caribbean guests keen to experience the line's newest addition

Final Verdict
Having seen Legend of the Seas for myself, I think it will quickly become one of the most popular ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet.
The accommodation is modern and the dining options are varied. There's no shortage of things to see and do onboard. Most importantly, the ship feels designed to cater for different types of travellers without losing the sense of fun that Royal Caribbean is known for. If you're considering a Royal Caribbean cruise in the coming years, Legend of the Seas is certainly a ship worth looking at."
