We've chosen a few of our favourite honeymoon destinations:
1. The Maldives
Chances are when you close your eyes and think about a luxury honeymoon location, it might look something like the Maldives. This tropical nation in the Indian Ocean is made up of over 100 coral islands.
Stroll on white-sand beaches, surf the swelling waves or scuba dive in crystal-clear waters. Underwater life is abundant in the coral reefs, with the chance to see manta rays, eels, colourful gobies, turtles and more. If you're feeling adventurous, you could choose to swim with dolphins or even sharks. The Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, so you'll encounter an extraordinarily diverse range of sealife.

2. Dominican Republic
The second largest of the Caribbean countries, the Dominican Republic offers rich culture, a storied history and breathtaking natural beauty. The island is ringed by endless white sand beaches, studded by coconut trees. Honeymooners who don't want to spend their entire time relaxing by the pool will love the Dominican Republic.
There are a wealth of activities on offer- from snorkelling and scuba diving to kite-surfing, ziplining, canyoning, paragliding and biking. Nature lovers will enjoy the national parks, waterfalls, rainforests and spring-fed pools. Board a whale-watching boat tour during mating season, or see manatees and dolphins splashing in the bays. Safaris into the island's interior will bring you up close with hawks, bats, butterflies, geckos, crocodiles, squirrel monkeys and endangered iguanas.

3. Santorini
In recent years we've seen an increase in the popularity of mini-moons. Couples tend to choose a European destination for a short break after their wedding, then go long-haul later on. One of the most popular places for short honeymoons is the picture-perfect Greek island of Santorini.
Known for its iconic white-washed villages, there's more to Santorini than a great Instagram oppportunity. (Even though the sunsets truly are spectacular!) There are thousands of years worth of ruins on the islands- from Bronze Age Minoan to Roman and Byzantine. Visit some of the enclosed archaeological sites or stroll around one of the fantastic museums.
Take a tour of one of the island's numerous wineries to enjoy nibbles and tastings while taking in the spectacular scenery. Some of the volcanic vineyards are over 3,200 years old! Hop on the cable car to get a bird's-eye view, dive into thermal waters at a volcanic spa or hike across the dramatic landscape. There are lots of watersports on offer here too- the reefs, caves and shipwrecks off the coast make for fantastic scuba-diving.

4. Costa Rica
Costa Rica is an ideal honeymoon destination. It combines adventure, nature, luxury and wildlife.
