Shandon Travel's India specialist Lisa has almost twenty years experience in the travel industry and has visited India numerous times. Here she gives us her reaction to the new Indian cruise on board the Ganges Voyager:
"I am delighted to introduce our cruise through the Indian Waters. I am very excited about this itinerary because in all my time as an Indian specialist (which is 10 years) I have never seen a cruise within India. There is only one departure- November 25th 2017- and this is a gem of an itinerary.
The start of the itinerary is land-based, visiting the Golden Triangle for 5 days. This is a great introduction to the Indian culture and stunning scenery. You'll be staying in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra where you visit the Taj Mahal. In my opinion a trip to India is not complete without seeing the mesmerizing Taj Mahal!
Flights to Kolkata are included, where you embark on the Ganges Voyager for seven nights. Cruise at a relaxing pace through the Indian waterways. Whilst on board you will experience true Indian hospitality, cultural performances, talks, high-end cuisine and a once in a lifetime experience.
Style is in abundance onboard the Ganges Voyager. The lead-in room is a signature suite and it looks amazing! Though I wouldnt expect anything less than that with India.
Even while writing this I feel relaxed and can imagine myself on-board, sitting on the outside deck with a refreshing drink and watching the beautiful scenery pass me by.... I can dream!"
