Kick off your adventure in Brazil with a stay in Rio De Janeiro, where you're free to explore the party atmosphere or soak up rays. Your hostel is centrally-located in Copacabana. You'll enjoy time outdoors and on the beach at Ilha Grande

Explore colonial Paraty, or visit a traditional cachaça distillery.

Connect with the land at an estancia stay in Uruguay. Get dirty at a working ranch, head for hikes, and indulge in local barbecues and wine.

In Uruguay's capital, Montevideo, opt to visit the carnival museum and grab a snack at the local Port Market.

Argentina's capital city Buenos Aires has so much to offer. Check out a football game, a tango show or the city's famous nightlife.

Consider visiting the districts of La Boca, Recoleta, and San Telmo or catch a tango show at one of the many famous tanguerías.

Best of all, we'll fly over to the stunning Iguassu Falls- allowing for more time to explore the immense cascades.

Day 1: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Enjoy your free time by taking an optional city tour or exploring the wonders that this city has to offer from the centrally located hostel in Copacabana.

The adventure begins tonight. Feel free to explore, but make sure you're back in time to meet the group. After introductions, your CEO will review the details of your tour.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro/ Ilha Grande, Brazil

Continue by van up the coast and take a ferry to Ilha Grande. Opt to hike the island's remote trails, pick up some snorkel gear or relax on the beach.

Head south along the Atlantic coast to the port of Angra dos Reis, and onward by ferry to Ilha Grande, with 100 beaches for you to choose from! Known for its beauty, the island offers other activities for visitors: surfing, hikes, diving, biking and snorkeling.

Local bus transfer:

Climb aboard, grab a seat, and enjoy the ride. This drive can sometimes cause motion sickness.

Ferry transfer:

Get to the next spot on your route aboard a convenient and efficient ferry boat.

Days 3 & 4: Ilha Grande, Brazil

Free time to hike and explore the island's beaches or take an optional boat tour.

Day 5: Ilha Grande/ Paraty, Brazil

Explore colonial Paraty, and opt to chill on the beach or visit a cachaça distillery.

Cachaça Distillery Visit:

  • 90BRL per person
  • Tour a cachaça distillery where sugarcane juice is used to create the most popular distilled spirit in Brazil. If it tastes familiar, that's because it's the main ingredient in a Caipirinha, the country’s national cocktail.
  • Often called “Brazilian rum,” cachaça is so popular, it’s produced by 40,000 micro-companies across the country. The blend from Paraty is sweet and salty; taste the sea as you sip this local liquid.

Day 6: Paraty, Brazil

Free day in Paraty to explore, chill on the beach or take an optional boat tour to nearby islands.

Day 7: Paraty/ Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil

Skip the land journey and hop a flight to Iguassu.

Private Vehicle transfer:

Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle. Please note that this drive can sometimes cause motion sickness.

Plane transfer:

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... yup, it is a plane, actually.

Day 8: Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil

Visit the Brazilian side of the Iguassu Falls.

Iguassu Falls Guided Tour:

  • Visit the Brazil side of the falls to get a panoramic view of Iguassu, one of the world's largest and most impressive waterfalls.
  • In total, there are over 275 individual falls spread out over 3km (2 mi). Find the best spot to take jaw-dropping photos of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 9: Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/ Gualeguaychú, Argentina

Visit the Argentine side of the falls, and opt to take a boat tour to see the cascading falls from below. Hop on an overnight bus to Uruguay.

  • Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.

Iguassu Falls Visit:

  • Spend the whole day on the Argentina side of Iguassu, exploring the paths over the falls or experience the UNESCO World Heritage site from a boat tour.
  • Tours utilize trails and catwalks adapted to the landscape of the area, and walking is easy for all ages; guided tours of the complex are available several times a day.

Overnight bus:

  • Curl up and catch a snooze en route to the next stop.
  • For a comfy trip remember to bring snacks, water, toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Iguassu Falls Boat Tour:

  • 700ARS per person
  • Enter the jungle from the “Sendero Yacaratía” and enjoy the panoramic view. Board motorboats that pass through the Lower Canyon of the Iguassu River, and continue onto the falls.
  • After enjoying the view from San Martin Island, sail to “Tres Mosqueteros” to the "Devil's Throat."
  • Sail along the shore before and enjoy the splendour of the San Martin waterfall, a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

Day 10: Estancia Stay, Mercedes, Uruguay

Dive into Uruguayan rural life. Get dirty at a working ranch, head for hikes, and indulge in local barbecues and wine.

We cross into Uruguay for our first stop - a local ranch, known in the region as an estancia.

We spend a day at the estancia getting into rural life. Learn about the historical roots of the region, participate in some of the farming activities, go for a walk, or sit back and sip on the wines of the region as you take in the local Uruguayan life.

  • Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.

Private Vehicle:

  • Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.

Estancia Stay:

  • Leave the city and lights behind in favour of the Uruguayan rural life. Get dusty at a working ranch, go for a horseback ride or hike in the countryside, and indulge in local barbecues and wine.

  • Free time to breathe in the country air, hike, horseback ride or kick back and relax.

Free Time:

Participate in as much or as little as you'd like at the estancia. Dive in or put your feet up.

Day 13: Montevideo, Uruguay

Day 14: Montevideo, Uruguay/ Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay

Travel to the charming colonial city of Colonia Del Sacramento. Experience the relaxed, pleasant Uruguayan culture and stroll down its cobble-stoned streets on an orientation walk.

Please note: Accommodation in Colonia may be multi-share during high season.

Local bus:

  • Climb aboard, grab a seat, and enjoy the ride.

Orientation Walk:

  • Enjoy a brief walk with your CEO. He/she will give you some tips on finding things like supermarkets, main squares, and ATMs.
  • For more specific or in-depth information, an official guided tour is recommended.

  • Get out and explore quaint Colonia.

Day 15: Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay/ Buenos Aires, Argentina

Cross the Río Plata and explore the many attractions of Buenos Aires. Check out a football game, a tango show or the city's famous nightlife.

Cross the Rio de la Plata by ferry to reach Buenos Aires. There is much to do in this vibrant metropolis, with plenty of museums, theatres, and historical areas. Buenos Aires is full of life.

Be sure to check out the districts of La Boca, Recoleta and San Telmo—or catch a tango show at one of the many famous tanguerías or tango houses. Wander the pedestrian walkways and see some dancing in the streets.

When you are done exploring, settle your weary feet and enjoy a drink in one of the many sidewalk cafés and restaurants. Buenos Aires is also your chance to try the succulent bifé and parrilladas, so dig in and enjoy!

Border Crossing (Uruguay - Argentina):

  • Board the ferry for the one-hour crossing of the Mar del Plata River from Uruguay to Argentina. Buenos Aires here you come!

  • Get to the next spot on your route aboard a convenient and efficient ferry boat.

Day 16: Buenos Aires, Argentina
