Description

If the name Acapulco conjures up images of sun, sea and lounging by the pool, this lively and activity-filled parc will more than live up to your expectations. There’s holiday fun everywhere you look.

The wonderful swimming complex is the place to start. Zoom down one of the five water slides and make a splash before unwinding in the Jacuzzi area. For ultimate relaxation, head to the on-parc wellness centre and treat yourself to some serious me time.

While you’re chilling out, there’s loads to keep the younger ones busy. There are two kids’ clubs: one for children and one for teens. They’ll soon be making friends as they play games on the sports pitches and make the most of the parc’s adventure playground.

With the terrific sandy Plage des Mouettes just 600 metres away, days filled with family fun are guaranteed. You can build castles and paddle in the sea before returning for the parc’s nightly entertainment. There’s karaoke, bingo, live music and magic shows.

Swimming Pools

With five slides to choose from, you’re never short of splashy action at Acapulco. There’s a triple-track for racing, a couple of whirlers and a kamikaze slide. The large pool can be just as fun. Jump in for a swim or relax in the bubble bath area. All done? Grab a lounger on the sun terrace and dry off. If you’ve got younger children, they’ll soon be earning their water wings in the parc’s paddling pool.

Please note: The opening dates of pool complexes are correct at the time of collection at the beginning of the season, but are subject to change. It is possible that the parc may close outdoor pools in poor weather and/or in low season.

Days out

Step back in time at Puy du Fou

Puy du Fou is an open-air theme park that puts on spectacular shows and re-enactments from different historical periods. The Romans, Vikings and Joan of Arc are all present. When you’re not being wowed by a production, wander the themed villages and woods to soak up the ambiance.

Island hop to Ile d’Yeu

The idyllic Ile d’Yeu is just a short boat trip away from Saint-Jean-de-Monts. Greeted by a small harbour and traditional whitewashed houses, you’ll soon be charmed by the island’s unspoilt rocky coastline, historical ruins and small villages.

Get wild at Planète Sauvage Animal Park

If you really want some adventure, Wild Planet has a 10km safari trail to explore. Lions, elephants, dolphins and monkeys are amongst the 1,000 animals you can discover – so remember your binoculars.

Dine local in La Rochelle

The historic port town of La Rochelle has so much culture, architecture and cuisine to explore. In particular, the market in the fisherman’s district is a treat with all its local produce. You can enjoy lunch in the market before visiting the famous Towers of La Rochelle and the beautiful Aquarium with its 12,000 undersea creatures.
