There’s a laidback way of life at Dunes des Sables. Maybe it’s the swaying trees and ocean breeze. Or perhaps it’s the spacious terrace that’s made for lounging with a cold drink and admiring the sea views. One thing’s for certain: you’ll start relaxing the moment you arrive.
There’s also adventure aplenty if you want it. The pool’s slides are made for zooming down and making a splash. And there are sports and games for the whole family to enjoy – from football and basketball to mini golf and petanque.
When it’s time to wander outside the parc, it’s only a short walk to the beautiful sandy beach. You’ll be paddling in the ocean in no time. Venture inland and you’ll soon find yourself in the ancient forest of Olonne. Why not pack a picnic and hike the trails?
As the day winds down, the parc’s restaurant serves up delicious family-friendly food while you enjoy the evening’s entertainment. Then it’s time for bed. After all that fresh air, you’ll sleep wonderfully.

Tourist tax

Accessibility
This parc is suitable for customers in wheelchairs. Wheelchair-adapted accommodation is only available on selected parcs, please check before booking.
Dunes des Sables has some fantastic swimming facilities. The heated outdoor pool and surrounding sun terrace are a great place to spend the day. Jump in and out of the water while the kids hit the slides. There’s a little twin-track racer if you want to challenge the family.
For younger splashers, the shallow paddling pool has a mushroom waterfall and mini slide. So no one has to miss out on the fun.

Please note: The opening dates of pool complexes are correct at the time of collection at the beginning of the season, but are subject to change. It is possible that the parc may close outdoor pools in poor weather and/or in low season.

Step back in time at Puy du Fou
Puy du Fou is an open-air theme park that puts on spectacular shows and re-enactments from different historical periods. The Romans, Vikings and Joan of Arc are all present. When you’re not being wowed by a production, wander the themed villages and woods to soak up the ambiance.
Island hop to Ile d’Yeu
The idyllic Ile d’Yeu is just a short boat trip away. Greeted by a small harbour and traditional whitewashed houses, you’ll soon be charmed by the island’s unspoilt rocky coastline, historical ruins and small villages.
Dine local in La Rochelle
The historic port town of La Rochelle has so much culture, architecture and cuisine to explore. In particular, the market in the fisherman’s district is a treat with all its local produce. You can enjoy lunch in the market before visiting the famous Towers of La Rochelle and the beautiful Aquarium with its 12,000 undersea creatures.
Relax on the beaches of La Tranche sur Mer
Just north of La Rochelle you’ll find the eight kilometres of sandy beaches at La Tranche sur Mer. Whether you fancy trying some water sports, exploring the sand dunes or heading into town and admiring the pretty architecture, it’s a lovely place to spend a day.
Total price from €2308 is based on 2 adults & 3 children (under 16) sharing and includes:
- Return crossing from Dublin to Cherbourg with Irish Ferries
- Car and 4-berth inside cabin
- 8 nights accommodation at 4* Camping La Dune des Sables, in a 2-bedroom Eco Lodge Tent
Deposit information:
- A deposit of €300 is required when booking Irish Ferries

Good to know:
- The full balance is due 10 weeks before departure, so:
- If booking within 10 weeks of departure, you are required to pay the full price at the time of booking
- If booking for departures outside 10 weeks, you may book accommodation with a deposit of €150
- Flights must be paid in full on booking and are non-refundable
- A deposit is required for car hire and transfers
- Once our contract is formed it may not be possible to reduce the number of nights in your chosen accommodation
- If you make a change within 10 weeks of departure we will not refund any reduction in holiday price and will charge an amendment fee
