Destination highlights: 

Quimper, an attractive medieval city known for its hand painted 'faïence' pottery and traditional Breton festivals. There are many museums including a Musée des Beaux Arts and the Musée Départemental Breton. Wandering through the streets of half-timbered houses is a delight and you'll find the magnificent Cathédrale de St Corentin, the largest cathedral in Brittany.

Vannes, a lovely fortified old city. Its old town is characterised by narrow cobbled streets and medieval gates. The port has many restaurants and is used as a departure point for boat trips to some of the islands on the Gulf of Morbihan, including the Ile aux Moines and Ile d’Arz

Josselin, is a lovely little town with a château in a wonderful setting on the river Oust and there's also a doll museum (Musée des Poupées) in the old castle stables. There are some interesting artisan shops in Josselin too.

Dinan, is possibly Brittany’s most beautiful and well preserved medieval town with some stunning old streets leading down to the river Rance and a magnificent viaduct.

St Malo, has a splendid walled old town, 'Intra Muros,' with rampart walks, a great choice of shops and restaurants and a long sandy beach. Cancale - a fishing port (famous for oysters) and seaside resort, very popular for seafood restaurants serving the freshest of fish
