The northern city of Akureyri sits at the base of the Eyjafjörður Fjord. Visit the local 1940's church for a look at the beautiful stained-glass windows portraying scenes from Icelandic Christian history. You can also take in great views of the fjord from the forecourt. The nearby Akureyri Art Museum is also another must-see.
Fly back to Reykjavík from Akureyri, where you'll stay a final night in the city before heading home.
