Nestled in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps lies the picturesque resort Brixental. The Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental forms one of the largest connected ski areas in Austria. Equipped with the most modern snow machines, this resort ensures high snow security. 284 kilometres (including approx. 23 km ski routes) of piste, 105 cable ways and lifts, an ample selection of leisure activities, as well as over 70 restaurants and après ski bars offer you unlimited fun and entertainment. The SkiWelt has numerously been elected as one of the best ski areas in the world by the independent platform ''Skiresort Service International''! With an upgrade to the "Kitzbüheler Alpen AllStarCard" lift pass you will have access to 2,750 km of piste in 25 ski areas, where fun is guaranteed!
Away from mass tourism you will enjoy the hospitality in Itter, whose townscape is mainly shaped by the old castle. The friendly Tyroelan village with its approx. 1,100 inhabitants, is situated at the foot of the Hohe Salve on a sunny plateau in a wonderful landscape. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the mountainous landscape away from the hustle and bustle. The Salvista gondola offers winter sports fans direct access to fun on the slopes, and practice lifts are located near the resort. The idyllic location offers numerous cleared hiking paths and cross-country ski trails, as well as a lit up natural toboggan run and refined cuisine, making this resort an ideal spot for a relaxing winter holiday.
The ideal location of Itter within the Brixental offers its visitors perfect conditions for a successful winter holiday. The ski area comprises approx. 280 km of prepared pistes – a great selection for both beginners and more experienced riders. The 90 lift systems ensure that both skiers and snowboarders can easily access the desired terrain without detours. After the skiing day has ended you can enjoy some sociable apres ski. In the Salvista-Stadl dancing, laughing and having fun is possible way into the early morning hours. A visit to the nearby ski resorts Söll and Hopfgarten are worth the trip.

Location and facilities
The cosy Pension Schmiedhof is situated in a quiet location on a sunny plateau in Itter. The free ski bus leaves from only approx. 50 m next to the hotel and the Mittererwies lift can be reached within approx. 850 m. The Salvista gondola is approx. 2.5 km away. The resort centre of Itter can be reached within approx. 300 m. A cross-country trail starts directly behind the building.
The friendly accomodation's facilities include a breakfast room, Wi-Fi (incl.), a lockable ski room with ski boot driers, as well as free parking spaces (based on availability).
With the Hohe Salve holiday region's tourist card (incl.), you gain access to services and discounts for many activities and sights in the surrounding area, such as e.g. use of the public ski bus, entrance to the Augustian museum Rattenberg, or the adventure pool Wave Wasserwelt in Wörgl (as per information in resort, services and limitations to the usage times are subject to change.)
Rooms/Apartments
The rooms are well-kept and have a shower/wc, cable TV, Wi-Fi (incl.), and some have a balcony.
The cosy apartments additionally have a kitchen with hob (2 or 4 plates), refrigerator, microwave, kettle and coffee machine as well as separate bedrooms. The apartment, sleeps 6 (approx. 70 m²) also has an oven.
