Fairmont Royal Pavilion is the only hotel in Barbados set directly on a beach, built several decades ago before stricter building regulations were introduced. It’s a truly iconic Bajan hotel, and it just gets better every year. Before you’ve even arrived, you’re treated like royalty as you’re whisked through Barbados airport with a VIP fast-track service.

Everything is geared towards making the most of the fabulous setting. All 72 rooms and suites have a sea view, whether you choose one of the recently-refurbished Luxury Oceanfront Rooms, with their glass-fronted balconies, or the ground floor Beachfront Suites, which open onto a large private terrace.

Facilities

There is a large pool area, complimentary non-motorised watersports including sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkelling, a fitness centre, 2 floodlit tennis courts and regular evening entertainment. A range of personalised in-room spa treatments can be arranged on request.

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and laptops are provided for guests’ use.

An excellent Kids & Teens activity programme operates at Christmas and during school holidays between 15 March - 31 October.

Restaurants & Bars

Royal Pavilion’s main restaurant, Taboras, serves daily breakfast, lunch, complimentary afternoon tea and à la carte dinner, as well as hosting regular themed evenings and a weekly Sunday brunch accompanied by steel pan music. Lunch and light snacks are also available at the Beach Club.

The Palm Terrace restaurant opens during high season only and offers first class cuisine in a lovely setting overlooking the ocean.

Accommodation

There are 72 newly-refurbished rooms and junior suites, plus a spacious three bedroom villa which is perfect for families. The Oceanfront Deluxe Rooms are on the upper floor of a two-storey building, situated right on the beach, and feature air-conditioning, a mini bar, flat screen TV, CD/DVD player, a marble tiled bathroom with separate bath and shower and a large balcony affording guests the most spectacular ocean view.

The larger Beachfront Junior Suites are located on the ground floor and are further enhanced by a large private terrace and outdoor living area just steps from the ocean. The three bedroom villa is set back in the gardens and can be booked as a one, two or three bedroom accommodation - it features a spacious ocean view room on the upper floor and a comfortable two bedroom suite with living/dining room on the ground floor.

Beachfront Suites and villa accommodation also include butler service and a VIP meet and greet service on arrival.

Good to know

The Luxury Oceanfront Suites do not have the Airport Arrival Fast Track service included as an additional benefit, but we can still offer this service so please advise us if you would like to add to your booking.
