Currency:
The Icelandic Currency is ISK (Icelandic Krona). All of Iceland accepts credit cards and you can take out local currency at KEF airport or at ATMs.
Banks/Shop Opening Hours:
Most supermarkets in Iceland are open between 11:00 and 18:00 but some are open 24/7. Most banks are open on weekdays between 09:00 and 16:00.

Weather:
Winters are very dark, which is often a good thing for visitors as you cannot see the Northern Lights unless it's extremely dark. Summers are such a contrast, virtually 24 hours of daylight.
Due to the gulf stream, the temperatures in Iceland are surprisingly mild in the winter time. The average during winter is 0° Celcius. The average during summer is 11° Celcius. Due to winds it usually feels colder in Iceland than the temperature display says.
What to wear:
As we say "you never come to Iceland for a tan“. We also say "if you don‘t like the weather in Iceland, wait 5 minutes“... you can experience all 4 seasons in a day! It is advisable to wear layers in Iceland, with a hat and gloves useful all year round.

Kindly note that due to regulations by the City of Reykjavik, all coaches are banned from the city centre area. Your hotel is applicable to this coach ban and therefore your pickup and dropoff for all transfers/ excursions will be at a designated bus stop.
