Fly from Dublin to Andorra for a week-long ski holiday this new year.
Pas de la Casa is a high-altitude resort with access to 210km of piste in the Grandvalira ski area, linking it to Soldeu and El Tarter. It’s lively and affordable, with an earned reputation for vibrant après. One of the best aspects for beginners in Pas de la Casa is the ski school, which is known for its excellent standard of teaching and English-speaking instructors. Intermediates and advanced skiers have plenty to explore too, both on and off-piste, and you can practice your tricks in the resort’s snow parks.
Pas de la Casa might be a small resort but it has a big reputation. This little party town has a huge selection of bars and restaurants, cheap drink prices and reasonably priced, good quality food. There’s a varied mix of apartments and hotels to choose from, all dependent on your budget. You’ll also have your pick of reduced-tax shops with great deals on ski gear, electronic goods and your favourite tipples.
All of this makes it a top destination for skiers on a budget or groups looking for a resort where there’s as much fun to be had off the slopes as on them. It might lack a little bit of the traditional ski resort charm but if you’re after an affordable and fun ski break, it certainly ticks all the boxes.
Good to know:
- Found in the Pyrenees at 2,080m, this high-altitude resort gets strong snow coverage and a long season.
- Bustling town with great après, thanks to its proximity to the French border.
- Budget-friendly accommodation is complemented by inexpensive food and drink, and free lift passes for children aged 11 and under.
The great-value Aparthotel Olimpiades has one of the most convenient locations in Pas de la Casa – there’s direct access to the largest ski area in the Pyrenees and you’re just a minute’s walk from the heart of the buzzing Andorran resort. And when we say direct access, we mean that you’re literally right on the slopes – so close that you can watch the ski lift zoom past your window.
With Tetras-like windows and coloured rings mounted high on its exterior, the modular appearance of the Aparthotel Olimpiades really stands out.
Inside, the apartments are stylishly designed, with a mixture of cool colours and modern furnishings. Each has a functional kitchenette and clean, contemporary bathrooms and shower rooms, too.
There’s also easy access to the terrace on the bottom floor where you can stop for a bite to eat at any time of the day – from morning omelettes and lunchtime pizzas to real winter-warmer dishes like tartiflette. Or relax with a post-ski drink when the famed local après kicks off – the happy hour is not one to be missed.
Good to know:
- Fantastic ski-in, ski-out location, close to the lifts.
- 1 minute's walk to the resort centre.
Every skiier has different requirements, from those who need beginner-level lessons to those who like to bring their own skis or snowboard. We also know that some of you are more interested in the après-ski than the slopes!
For this reason, we do not include Ski Equipment, Lessons or Lift Passes in our prices. This will allow each holidaymaker in your group to tailor-make their ski holiday to suit their needs.
This also allows us to quote an accurate, up-to-date price and avoids any hidden charges on your part. Please note, prices may also fluctuate during the season.
Remember, we also offer fantastic group rates with great discounts.
The best way to get a quote which meets all your requirements is to contact us for your tailor-made quote.
