Notre-Dame de Paris

Iconic medieval cathedral famously adorned with gargoyles and chimeras over an ancient crypt. Usually there are guided tours but now visitation is subject to restoration work after the 2019 fire.

Musée des Arts et Métiers

This museum houses one of the world's best collections of scientic instruments, including Foucault’s pendulum, a theatre of automata and the first steam-powered automobile

House of Nicolas Flamel

Now an atmospheric restaurant, the walls of the home of the famous 15th century alchemist are adorned with strange symbols

The Room of Endangered and Extinct Species

This gallery holds over 250 rare taxidermy specimens, including a quagga, a Hawaiʻian ʻōʻō (an extinct Moho bird), a Barbary lion and the only complete black emu skeleton

Les Invalides

This complex houses several military museums and is home to the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte 

Salvador Dalí Sundial

Installed on the wall at 27 Rue Saint Jacques by the famous artist in 1966, this sundial looks great but does not work- a somewhat appropriate nod to the surrealist's persona

Place de la Concorde

The largest public square in the captial, this plaza is adorned with statues and a 3000 year old Egyptian obelisk

Paris Point Zero

Visit the site from which all French locations are thought to be measured and kiss your loved one, throw a coin or spin in a circle for good luck

Centre Georges Pompidou

This iconic avant-garde building is home to the National Museum Of Modern Art

Musée des Arts Forains

This beautiful museum is home to antique carnival rides from 1850 onwards. Visitors may ride on some of the attrations, though pre-booking is required.
