Fly to Cape Town and start your exploration of South Africa on this 10 night holiday, including a safari and game drives.
Undisputedly one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, Cape Town offers fantastic hotel accommodation, superb culinary experiences and a wealth of entertainment and sightseeing.

The waterfront offers designer boutiques, two craft markets, a plethora of restaurants and bars, cinemas, live entertainment as well as the boarding point for sundowner cruises and tours to Robben Island. With so much on offer, it is not surprising that Cape Town is fast becoming one of the world’s most sought after destinations. You'll spend four nights in this bustling city.
The univeristy town of Stellenbosch is located on South Africa's Western Cape. Stroll along leafy, oak-lined streets. Browse fantastic boutiques and galleries, then stop for a break at one of the town's pretty cafes.

The town's Dutch architecture harks back to its colonial history- this was the second European settlement in the region, after Cape Town. It's been a site of human habitation for far, far longer though- Paleolithic stone tools have been found at a site outside the town.
Stellenbosch sits amidst the fertile Winelands Region of South Africa. The area is a wonderful combination of small historic towns, beautiful scenery and wine estates producing delicious wines and brandies. There are literally hundreds of wine estates, all offering the chance to sample their unique blends in a picture-perfect setting. You'll spend one night in Stellenbosch.
Located on the the southeast coast of South Africa, Hermanus is well-known as a whale watching destination. There are some great beaches here, including Voëlklip Beach which is known for its fine white sand and secluded setting. It's also a popular place for surfing.
You should also visit Grotto Beach, which overlooks Walker Bay- a great sea kayaking spot. You'll see seals, dolphins, penguins and maybe even whales here. Walking the cliffside along the coastline of Walker Bay gives a great opportunity to see the local wildlife, as well as glimpse the town's history.

Hermanus has an Old Harbour Museum which showcases the town's fishing history and is home to a suspended whale skeleton. Ask our Travel Designers for informstion and assistance on booking a whale watching excursion- the best time to travel for this experience is between June and November.
Head to Pearly Beach to ride horses along the seafront or stop at Klipgat Cave. This limestone cave was discovered to contain archaeological remains dating back over 70,000 years and the rocky outcrops frame great views of the sea. Hermanus is also a great spot for foodies- there are lots of farmsteads, markets and great restaurants. There's an emphasis on fresh, local food and the nearby vineyards also offer great chances for wine tastings.
You'll spend two nights here in Hermanus before continuing to your safari.
The Eastern Cape has in recent years been repopulated with game and a number of top quality private game reserves can be found in this area. These reserves are an ideal malaria-free luxury game experience on the Garden Route. You'll spend three nights on safari, with game activities included.
