Facilities

The resort’s crescent-shaped beach is home to the laid-back Surf Shack, where guests can take part in paddleboarding, canoe excursions and coastal e-bike safaris. On 4 July each year, the beach becomes the setting for Turtle Independence Day, when rehabilitated green sea turtles are released into the sea.

Hawaiian culture is celebrated at Hale I‘ike – the House of Knowledge – where guests can learn about island traditions through stories and demonstrations. Other activities include lei making, ukulele lessons, hula basics, guided walks and scenic helicopter tours, while golf enthusiasts can enjoy the resort’s two spectacular 18-hole courses.

Dining

Dining at Mauna Lani offers nourishment for both body and soul, with each restaurant celebrating local ingredients and distinctive flavours. The oceanfront Canoe House serves creative, farm-fresh dishes showcasing Hawaii’s finest produce, while HāLani presents family-style Hawaiian fare throughout the day.

At the poolside Hā Bar and Grill, guests can enjoy light meals, handcrafted cocktails and live music, while the Market – inspired by New York’s delis – offers freshly made sandwiches, salads, pastries and excellent coffee.

The Spa

At the Auberge Spa, treatments aim to restore balance and vitality using the natural benefits of Big Island ingredients such as local oils, honey and botanicals.

Guests can enjoy a range of massages, scrubs and facials, including the exclusive goop Glow Facial from Gwyneth Paltrow’s clean skincare line. The Spa also houses Hawaii’s only goop boutique, featuring the brand’s signature lifestyle products.
