Fly from Cork, Dublin or Shannon and board Anthem of the Seas in Southampton for a week-long cruise to the Norwegian Fjords and Brussels, before sailing back to England.
Located on England's South Coast, Southampton is a city full of surprises. Home to one of the largest ports in Europe, the city has a lot to offer people passing through for the day. Step back in time and explore the old town – walk along the medieval town walls, parts of which date back to 1290. Visit Bargate, a medieval gatehouse built by Normans in the 12th century. Check out SeaCity Museum and learn about what it would have been like to set sail on the Titanic in 1912 – Southampton is where the historic ship left port. Or venture out and explore the Hampshire countryside: Iconic Stonehenge is just a one-hour drive away.
Check out Stavanger's picturesque old town, where you'll find well-preserved wooden buildings dating back to the 18th century painted in unique pastel hues. Cruise to Stavanger to learn more about the Vikings at the Museum of Archaeology or visit 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral – thanks to a series of rebuilding efforts over the years, it features architectural elements from Romanesque to ornate Baroque.
Come to Olden to explore the Jostedal Glacier – not only can you take in views of this natural wonder, you can also head to Jostedalsbreen National Park and hike the blue ice yourself. Thanks to Olden's location at the northern end of Oldedalen Valley, you'll find an unexpectedly dramatic landscape dotted with valleys, waterfalls and mountains. Explore the town by foot, boat or bike, and head into a gallery to discover why Olden is an emerging centre for contemporary design.
Home to only 350 inhabitants, the village of Flam is situated at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjord, the world's deepest fjord reaching a staggering 1,308 metres. From the harbour, take a brief stroll to the Flam Railway and take the 20-kilometre ride through the Myrdal Mountains and along the fjord. Cruise to Norway and head to Otternes Farm Village, made up of 27 different buildings that date back to the 17th century. Then, let the waterfall at Stalheim Fossen take your breath away, or drive to Stegastein viewpoint to take in the beauty of the fjord.
Often called the Venice of the North, the capital of Belgium's West Flanders province is lined with canals, bridges and historic buildings. One of Europe's best-preserved mediaeval towns, Bruges' historic town centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Belgium cruises give you access to the lively market square and you'll see the Belfry of Bruges, a popular piece of Middle Ages architecture. Encounter the city's other personality in Zeebrugge – or 'Bruges on sea'. This international port and seafront resort is home to cafes, a beach and a marina
