The Michelangelo shares a name with one of the world’s most-famous painters, and its stylish set-up is a testament to the great man. A huge infinity pool melts into the horizon, and the rooms come with vine-like feature walls.

You’ll find a pebbly beach a couple of steps from the pool deck. There’s a wooden boardwalk running parallel to the shoreline, which is flanked by sunloungers, parasols and electric-pink bean bags.

The Michelangelo boasts three big pools, including a huge sea-view number. Children have their own pool with a playground beside it. There’s a trio of restaurants, plus three bars split between the lobby, the pool and the beach. Drinks are served until the early hours in the main bar.

Sports-wise, there’s a multi-use court for tennis and basketball, plus a mini football pitch. Luxury treatments are on offer in the spa*, and you can work out in the gym.
