Experience the magic of Chiang Mai during its vibrant Lantern Festival on this wonderful 6-day itinerary. With lots of great inclusions, this tour is fully customisable.
Arrive to a warm welcome and later craft Krathongs, traditional floating lanterns, and release them into the Ping River at sunset, a serene ritual to let go of negativity.
Day 2 begins with a visit to Warorot Market and a ride through Thapae Gate aboard a Samlor. Explore historic temples like Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh. In the evening, immerse yourself in the Yi Peng Festival with cultural performances and the breathtaking sky lantern release.
The next day offers leisure time amidst the festive atmosphere before a visit to Wat Umong and the mountaintop temple Wat Phra That Doi Suthep for panoramic views. Then, experience an elephant sanctuary, caring for these gentle giants and enjoying a bath with them.
Day 5 includes a Lanna family cooking experience and free time. Depart on Day 6, enriched by unforgettable cultural encounters and the beauty of Chiang Mai.
