The best of Namibia includes safari & desert experiences, along with the beautiful coastal town of Swakopmund and breathtaking nature.

This tour, hotels and activities have been hand-picked and experienced by our tour operators on the ground in Nambia.

Please note: this exclusive tour has just 16 places, so early booking is highly recommended.

Upon arrival meet your local driver and guide and transfer to your hotel in Windhoek, the capital and largest city in Namibia. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure after a long flight.

Tonight you'll stay at the Windhoek Safari Court Hotel. This hotel lies in a large garden complex around 5 kilometres south of the city centre of Windhoek. Maerua Mall, also 5 kilometres away, offers many shopping opportunities.

This air-conditioned establishment features 2 bars and 3 restaurants where guests can enjoy a meal or refreshment. The comfortable double rooms are fitted with all the necessary amenities of modern life. The hotel grounds include a large, refreshing outdoor swimming pool, a poolside snack bar and both sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use.

On day 2, transfer from Windhoek to Sossusvlei. Subtle shifting sand dunes sculpted by the wind, Sossusvlei is often referred to as the “Dune Sea”.

Located in the heart of the Namib Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei facets an air of isolation and tranquility where one can find perspective and serenity amongst the orange dunes and ‘cracked white floor’ of the vlei (dried up saltpan).

Upon arrival in Sossusvlei enjoy the rest of the day relaxing, where you will experience a true African accommodation experience. You'll spend the next two nights at the Desert Hills Glamping camp. Our tour operator has an exclusive relationship with this fantastic camp and you'll be accompanied by the group's own chef.

We'll start very early the morning of day 3 to catch the beautiful sunrise in Sossusvlei, and to avoid the most heat. Enjoy a morning excursion into Sossusvlei & Deadvlei where guests have the option of climbing the world’s highest sand dune, or simply stroll around the breathtaking Deadvlei area.

To experience the full magnitude of this ancient 32,000 square kilometre sand sea, one has to climb the dunes. The highest dune being Big Daddy at 325 metres is the most accessible but toughest to take on.

The reward however, is a panoramic view of the Deadvlei with the 900-year-old Camelthorn trees. The contrasts of the shadows on the dunes, the clear blue sky and blackened dead trees against the orange dunes is a must see when visiting Namibia.

The morning of day 4 you will get the opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon over the desert, a truly unique experience– kindly note this is not included in the program, but can be booked and paid for on spot. In the early afternoon transfer to Swakopmund.

Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Namib Dunes you will find a jewel of a town filled with historic buildings and landmarks creating the ambience of a small German town. Travellers can expect to dine at some of the finest restaurants overlooking the Atlantic and enjoy luxury accommodation, often a stone throw away from the beach.

You'll spend two nights at the Strand Hotel in Swakopmund. This elegant hotel is just a minute's walk from the beach and offers guests the use of a spa, three restaurants and bars, 24-hour front desk and small brewery.

Rooms are air-conditioned and furnished with minibars and TVs. Guests may enjoy garden or sea views. There is a rooftop garden with water feature, fitness centre and private beach.

Day 5 is free at leisure- you can stroll through the beautiful town of Swakopmund and/ or join some excellent guided tours in the area. There is enough to choose from and something to suit everyone’s interests.

From Swakopmund we'll next head north. Day 6’s destination is Damaraland. Untamed and rugged, Damaraland is one of Namibia’s most scenic attractions. Highlights include Namibia’s highest mountain, most famous for the rock painting of the White Lady, Twyfelfontein with its thousands of bushman rock paintings and of course Rhino & Desert Elephant tracking- truly magnificent and majestic creatures who adapted to survive in the harsh desert conditions.

Impressive mountains await and with so many beautiful places to see, you may just end up visiting a place with no name. Upon arrival in our unique & exclusive Malansrurs Glamping lodge- where you will spend 2 nights- enjoy the day at leisure. Our tour operator has an exclusive relationship with this fantastic camp and you'll be accompanied by the group's own chef.

The next day we'll explore the area and enjoy guided excursions to view the Bushmen’s rock Engravings, as well as a safari tour in search of the magnificent Desert Elephant.

The San, or Bushmen, are indigenous people in Southern Africa. Their ancient rock paintings and carvings are found in caves and on rock shelters. The artwork depicts non-human beings, hunters, and half-human half-animal hybrids. In Twyfelfontein we will walk around and view many of these impressive rock engravings.

The Desert Elephant can only be found in 2 places in the world, here in Namibia and Mali. They are of high national and international conservation priority, and have been designated as top priority for protection by the IUCN.

After breakfast on day 7, we transfer to Etosha National Park. Showcasing some of the most common and rarest wildlife species, Etosha offers visitors unforgettable sightings of free roaming wildlife.

Experience the contrasts of wide grasslands, Camelthorn and Mopani trees with an enormous salt pan covering 4731 kilometres square; so big it can be seen from space. Being the 3rd largest game park in Africa, Etosha is a must for your travel list. Upon arrival at your lodge enjoy the rest of day free at leisure.

You'll spend the next two nights at Safari Hoek Lodge in Etosha South. Early morning on day 9 we will board a modified open-truck for a half day Safari in Etosha National Park. The tour is guided by a lodge guide with tremendous experience to help find the animals.

The afternoon is free at leisure. Use the day to relax by the pool, sit at the waterhole or book an optional (not included) open-truck safari.

On day 10 we will transfering from Etosha South side to Etosha East gate. Enjoy a full day safari in search of African animals. Etosha National Park is unique in Africa. There is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes, giving you almost guaranteed game sightings.

From Etosha we'll head south bound towards Windhoek on day 11. Our next destination is Otjiwa. Set amidst the unspoilt beauty of Namibia’s oldest game farm, Otjiwa Safari Lodge is the ultimate holiday destination for those in search of an authentic African experience that meets the very best in international tourism standards. Enjoy the rest of the day free at leisure.

The Otjiwa Safari Lodge complex captures Namibia's natural beauty with fascinating scenery and the charm of rustic luxury. It offers modern chalets, reflecting indigenous African style with amazing panoramic views.

All rooms are privately situated with a beautiful view, and have en-suite bathroom. Personal care and excellent home-style cuisine will make you feel instantly at home when breakfast and dinner is served in the welcoming dining room.

A cosy lounge and bar, next to romantic swimming pool, overlooking the savannah bush veldt & Omboroko Mountains will add to a wonderful time of relaxation and indulgence.

Okonjima Nature Reserve is home to The AfriCat Foundation, renowned for its conservation work with predators across Namibia. It has grown significantly since it was established as a welfare organization in the early 1990’s and registered as a non-profit organization in 1993.

Today, AfriCat’s mission is the long-term conservation of some of Namibia’s largest carnivores – such as brown hyena, leopard and cheetah, all of which can be seen during an environmental education visit to Okonjima.

After breakfast on day 12 we will go to Okonjima and enjoy the morning at AfriCat’s visitor center where we learn everything about the great work they do, followed by a visit to the Cheetah enclosure and then lunch.

After, transfer back to Otjiwa for the afternoon at leisure. For those interested, it’s possible to book a Rhino tour from the lodge, subject to availability on spot. Spend a second night at Otjiwa Safari Lodge.

After breakfast on your last day in Namibia, transfer to Windhoek Airport for your departure flight. We hope you enjoyed your experience in Namibia!
